This blade trades the classic San Mai premium American CPM 3-V powdered super steel with a DLC (diamond like coating) that is highly wear resistant, so you won't need to worry about the blade wearing down too much over time. Cold Steel created the Nightfall Series which is made with the same level of quality and attention to detail as their Japanese classics but with a few changes to make them more accessible to those who want to get their hands on a beautiful fixed blade. Each of these screamingly sharp blades comes with a Secure-Ex sheath for safe storage.
