The Cimbri is one of many new models released by CRKT in 2019 and is one of a handful knives that are part of their Forged by War® series. Started in 2013 by Ryan Johnson of RMJ Tactical, this program teamed up with veterans with varying degrees of PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) to offer a unique opportunity to help design knives and tools that they feel would have been beneficial to them as well as their battle buddies. Designed by Elmer Roush, the Cimbri combines 8th Century weaponry with modern materials and clean aesthetics. From the beginning, CRKT has been driven by a single purpose: to bring useful technological advancements and entirely new product concepts to today's market. This model features a Tennessee Hickory handle, an axe head in a black magnesium phosphate finish and comes standard with an axe head cover.
