Description

This Microtech Ultratech out the front auto features a contoured red anodized handle along with a black finished tanto blade. It comes complete with black hardware and an integrated glass breaker function

The Ultratech without question has been Microtech's flagship out the front auto knife since its induction in 1999. Recently it has gone through an additional aesthetic redesign after the overwhelming success and praise of the traditional styling. While the dimensions of the Ultratech remain unchanged, the handle has been stripped back down to its original roots--now offering a smooth contoured chassis, however still boasting the tri-angle hardware, a redesigned thumb slide and the glass breaker that now includes a press fitted ball bearing for a more comfortable, but still functional, user experience. Each Microtech OTF knife has extremely sophisticated internal mechanisms which improve the overall operational functionality and reliability.

I have had this knife for 8 or 9 months now and use it regularly for work and other casual tasks. The paint on the knife has held up perfectly except for some minor wearing on the pocket clip. The knife still performs like they day I bought it and is still as sharp as ever. I really didn't know what to expect when I purchased this knife since I had always been carrying around cheap knives. I have not been disappointed with the quality of this knife and have recommended Microtechs to some of my other friends. I do still think the price on these knives is a bit high but I do not regret spending my money on it. I guess if you are good at making something you don't want to give it away for free.
