Description

The word Troodon (TROH-o-don) was actually named after a bird-like dinosaur from the Campanian age. The literal translation in Greek is "wounding tooth" which represents the sharp and serrated nature of the Troodon's dental structure. The Combat Troodon is 25% larger than the tradition Troodon model but still manages to boast a sleek slender contoured handle that is ergonomic as it is functional. Each Microtech OTF knife has extremely sophisticated internal mechanisms which improve the overall operational functionality and reliability. This model features a tan handle complete with standard bead blasted hardware and an integrated glass breaker function along with a dagger style blade in a stonewash finish. Made in the USA.

    This thing is a beast. This is not my first Microtech auto and I keep coming back to Microtech because I think they are the gold standard for OTF and OTS autos. The materials, build quality, craftsmanship, and function is just outstanding. The only downside that I see for some (and this is not an issue for me) is the size of this knife. It is big. Some may consider it too big for pocket carry or just too big for their hands and if that is the case I would suggest a Microtech Ultratech, UTX-85 or UTX-70 for a similar knife at a smaller size. I would also suggest finding someone who owns one that you could get your hands on so that you can get a feel for the size before purchasing. Highly recommended!
