The Spyderco Dragonfly 2 knife is an upgrade with some pretty impressive refinements that still stays true to the original Dragonfly design. This model, C28SYL2, features an H1 steel blade with a SpyderEdge (fully serrated). H1 steel is impervious to rust. This makes the Dragonfly 2 Salt the perfect knife for work around water. The Front finger choil and spine cusp is carried over as well as the blade to handle geometry and leverage points that give the feel of a full sized knife. The new refinements are the addition of a left/rigth tip up wire clip, patented Bi Directional Texturing on the handle, as whell as choil and spine jimping. This screw together handle construction makes it easy to clean and maintain. The handle is yellow FRN (fibergalss reinfoced nylon) for high visibility in case you drop it in or near water. The Dragonfly 2 is the perfect combination of the old and the new making a huge leap in quality and performance. This is a great pocket knife.

This is a great small EDC knife, particularly for those in wet climates and those who work or play in water environments. It has excellent jimping on the spine and choils, which allows for excellent control and for the Dragonfly2 Salt to feel like a larger knife than it actually is. The blade is extremely sharp and is good for everyday cutting tasks as well as handling larger tasks with its serrations. It is a pretty bright yellow and would be easy to locate should it be dropped in the dark or in water. The clip is reversible tip-up carry, and with a slim profile and light weight it is extremely easy and comfortable to carry in the pocket.
