The Spyderco Lum Tanto is based off of the original, which was released in 2001, and it holds true to the same concepts that the original so successfully epitomized. These concepts revolve around the idea that eastern and western knife design can be put together in one knife. In fact this was a defining idea of Bob Lums career and even though he is now dead, the Lum rerun still holds true to his dream.
