The Spyderco Native FRN manual folder knife has been designed for use by teh human hand. This knife features an ergonomic design that minimizes discomfort and fatigue while maximizing cutting ability. The 41PSBK has a combo edge blade. The handle is built of FRN (fiberglass reinforced nylon) which is designed with two seperate finger choils. The first allows you to position your index finger close to the knife's edge and gives you lots of control over the cutting edge. The second, gives you the ability to cut more efficiently when pushing the blade away from your body during a cut. The handle has Bi-Directional Texturing molded into the FRN handle and minimizes forward or backward sliding. Carved out of the locking lever is a David Boye Dent insuring the lock remains safely engaged even when gripping the handle forcefully. A section of non-sharpened serrations line the blade's spine yield an additional slip resistant point for the thumb. The blade itself is hollow-ground CPM-S30V steel with a weight reducing swedge ground from the spine. A black steel tip-up clip can be placed ambidextrously on both sides of the handle via a barrel-shaped screw that doubles as a lanyard. Design

The Spyderco Native looks good, it's a Spyderco though so what did you expect? However this knife wasn't designed to look good. The Native was designed to be the ultimate combination between comfort and performance. It's good looks are just a natural side effect. The handle of the knife was engineered for the human hand. And it has a choil, which in my opinion is the most comfortable thing a company can place on a knife.
Performance
The knife does exactly what the company says it does. Put simply, this is the most comfortable folder I have ever held. The first time I picked the Native up I was a little bit shocked about how well the knife fit in my hand. I wasn't used to holding a knife that actually felt like this. Most knives don't so some companies don't bother. There's no pressure from the competition. The combination of a choil, as I said before this is one of my favorite features on any knife, the indent in the handle to seperate your middle finger from your ring and pinky fingers, and the gimping on the spine of the blade. All of these features make the knife extremely comfortable and extremely controllable. Now don't get me wrong this knife is not only comfortable but it performs. It has an S30v blade and FRN handles so you don't have to be afraid to use this thing.
