The hawkbill blade has been a staple for Spyderco and their distinguished team of designers. The original SpyderHawk, which has since been discontinued, re-wrote the book on the effective of such a blade. Even beyond the nitrongen-based steel that is virtually rustproof, this blade style is extremely effective at "capturing" what it is cutting--drawing it into the cutting edge. This knife is part of Spyderco's exclusive Sprint Run family which offers limited-edition production runs of knives not found in their normal production models. These knives are highly sought after because once they run out, they will never be made again in the same variation. This model, the C77SOR, features an orange lightweight FRN (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon) handle, a fully serrated (SpyderEdge) hawkbill style blade in a satin finish, Spyderco's trademark round hole opening feature and a reversible titanium pocket clip that allows for tip up carry only but is eligible for a left or right hand carry option.
