The Carnufex is one of many new models released by CRKT this year. Designed by Brazilian knifemaker Flavio Ikoma, this flipper brings about a prehistoric flair to the table for an aggressive and functional knife. Each frame lock designed model features a smooth stainless steel body but adds a textured "scale-like" inlay as well as a ribbed backspacer that extends around the base of the handles. Furthermore, each stainless steel blade is deployed with a spine flipper function and the fluid action can be attributed to the IKBS ball bearing pivot system. From the beginning, CRKT has been driven by a single purpose: to bring useful technological advancements and entirely new product concepts to today's market. This model, the 5480, features black GRN (Glass Reinforced Nylon) inlays amongst silver stainless steel handles, a modified clip point style blade in a satin finish and the pocket clip is statically designed for tip up carry only on the traditional side of the handle.
