The Benchmade Triage series has you covered with a tool that truly epitomizes what it takes to be prepared for any type of emergency situation. This Benchmade Black Class folder was designed very purposely--from the design of the blade, to the specific blade material used all the the way down to the functional components and additives. The blade material chosen for this series was Bohler N680--an Austrian steel designed for extremely harsh environments like salt water plus offering the best corrosion resistance while still offering plenty of edge retention and strength. The opposing bevel style blade was used to maximize safety near the tip of the knife especially pertaining to emergency cutting situations with the added ability to wedge or pry. This blade is also powered by the Benchmade AXIS system which provides fluid action and a rock sold lockup and is opened with the dual thumb stud design. Additional features include a manually folding 440C stainless steel seat belt/strap cutter hook that is conveniently housed in the handle scale as well as a carbide glass breaker to further increase this knife's utilitarian value. This model, the 916SBK-ORG, features a black finished partly serrated blunt tip opposing bevel blade, an orange G-10 handle and the pocket clip is designed for tip up carry only but is eligible for left or right hand carry options. Made in the USA.
