The newest Benchmade Gold Class features beautiful and elegant copper niobium inlays which prove to be the standout feature of this McHenry & Williams designed Sequel folder knife. The allure and rarity of this knife rests in the source of the inlay material--taken from large copper cables interspersed with NbTi (Niobium Titanium) filaments that were used in massive particle accelerators. One example of these fascinating advanced scientific measurement machines would be the Tevatron accelerator which is used to smash protons together at an incredibly high rate of speed. The luxurious 3-D machined titanium handle also features a custom titanium pocket clip and heat colored hardware. The blade of this AXIS folder features super premium CPM-S90V stainless steel in a drop point style and boasts a two tone finish--primarily dark acid wash but with bright polish flats. This is just a limited run of 175 units and comes standard with a gold colored presentation box as well as a certificate of authenticity. Made in the USA.
