Description

The Benchmade Shootout was designed and manufactured with law enforcement and tactical personnel in mind. The light weight design makes for a perfect  EDC and won't weigh down your pocket. The trigger has been made to have a smoother and easier deployment for quick access. The tanto blade is made of a flat earth PVD coated CPM-CruWear which has a good balance of both toughness and wear resistance. The lightweight handle is made of CF-Elite which allows for texturing not able to be achieved in many other materials. The carbon fiber handles also have a grip tape inlay providing that extra hold while in use. 

The pocket clip on the Shootout is reversable allowing you the option of left or right pocket carry.

    This is my first OTF and for those who have tried a microtech but thought the deployment was too stiff, this is your answer. If microtech's deployment was a 10 on a difficulty level, this is a 5. Very sharp out of the box as well. A little rattly when shaking it, but that is to be expected for an easier to operate OTF.

    As soon as I saw this knife and the count down I wasn’t sure about. Benchmade is a love hate for me but their otfs have been less than promising and it’s not a secret Either! They are either slow on the deployment or they are not sharp. This knifes weight makes it feel like it’s cheap but the action is good. Still not a Microtech but good. The magic is in the handle material and the blade sharpness. My goodness this knife is by far the sharpest OTF form the manufacturer I’ve ever seen and I currently own 26 from Microtech, Benchmade and any other ones you can think of. I am impressed but more than that BladeOps must have the fastest delivery because my knife came in a day early and great pricing you can’t beat it! Thanks you blade ops for being awesome and having the best selection in knives out there!

    I own 4 Microtechs, 2 Guardian Tacticals OTF’s. Also a few Pro Tech autos. I’ve been wanting to buy a Benchmade OTF for a while. I’ve only had the Shootout for a week or so. The action is awesome. Perfect snap open and closed. The jimping on the grip and the grip tape at the top of the knife makes it feel like it’s glued to your hand which I love. The only minor issue I have with the knife is it feels a little chinzy when you first grab it. But I think it’s just much lighter than I’m used to. Definitely an awesome knife, especially for the price.
