Description
The Boker Kalashnikov automatic knife is one of the most popular side open automatics on the market today considering the price point. This knife, as well as the rest of the Kalashnikov auto family, is referred to an auto-conversion knife which means the knife is produced as a folder knife and then converted via third party to offer the automatic function. The Kalashnikov features an aluminum handle scale with integrated finger grooves for a comfortable ergonomic experience and the AUS-8 blade material offers better edge retention than you would expect. This particular model features a grey handle with black hardware and a drop point blade, that is partly serrated, in a black finish. Finally, the deep carry pocket clip is designed for tip up carry only.

*Please note that the seals on the box will arrive broken due to the knife being converted

One of the all time classic knives, the Boker Kalashnikov is the automatic knife I have carried every day for the last six months. I love mine. It handles the every day abuse I throw at it and keeps on ticking. After using mine for about four months, I finally had to sharpen the edge again. It wasn't too hard to sharpen and now, two months later, it still is in great condition. The action on the Kalashnikov auto knife is very fast. Our supplier is springing these with a really strong spring. The knife has been redesinged recently by Boker and now the action button is inset into a small well. This acts as the safety as it prevents accidental firing in your pocket. As part of the redesign, Boker removed the spine safety so as to stay in compliance with some trademark issues. I have used the newly redesigned automatic Kalashnikov knife and find it to actually be a little better than my old one. The button is in a better spot (being lower on the handle) and the action is just the same. The best thing about this knife, what sets it apart from so many auto knives, is the fact that it has great little design touches that most knives don't have. It has the Soviet star on the main pivot screw. It also comes in a case (box) that is shaped like a banana clip from the AK-47. All in all, this is one of my favorite, low cost, automatic knives on the market.

I love this knife the weight is not a bother in your pocket. I have several Boker knifes and love them all. Only problem is picking which one I want to carry for the day.
