Boker Plus P-51 Mustang Damast Studded Metal Design Titanium Handles Flipper Knife, Nichols P-51 Aircraft Damascus Blade

The Boker P-51 Damast is a tough knife with a timeless designed inspired by a classic American fighter plane. Designed by Steve Kelly, this knife takes its cue from the material, shape, and color of the P-51 fighter plane from the 1940s. The special features of the P-51 Mustang, whose "P" stands for Pursuit, lie in the aerodynamic full-metal construction, countersunk studs, and capability for reaching incredible and groundbreaking speeds. Interpreting these characteristics into knife form created an instantly iconic, timeless knife with a spearpoint blade made of 80-layer Damascus forged by Chad Nichols paired with original parts from the historic plane. The profile of this knife is reminiscent of the fighter-bomber and the thumb hole is reminiscent of the cockpit canopy. The titanium handle replicates the studded metal plates of the airplane and is accentuated by the blue blade axle screw, which bears the Silver Star of the US Army. This axle screw is accompanied by striking red anodized screws, based on the color scheme of the tail rudder. The titanium frame of this knife is extremely reliable, and the frame lock holds the blade securely in place even during difficult work. The handle fits comfortably and securely in the hand. Each carefully thought out aspect of this design comes together to create an incredibly stunning knife worthy of any collection.
