Boker Plus Tactical G10 Balisong Knife, Satin D2 Harpoon Blade

I bought this knife to carry, and for that it is outstanding: solid but not too heavy; blade steel seems to be well-tempered, and that satin 'poon blade looks great; the spring latch has just the right amount of tension; and of course, the pocket clip means the knife can actually be carried without rattling around or falling out of a pocket. Overall, I'm even happier with this full size Boker bali than I was with the smaller model I'd previously purchased, and this one especially is a steal for the price. Just one thing to be aware of before buying: on both this and the my smaller Boker bali, the pivot screws began to loosen almost immediately. This was a very easy fix since all the hardware on both knives are T6 sized torx bolts, and I have a good set of bits, so I was able to quickly take off the scales, put a bit purple loctite of the bolts, and torque them back down to the tension I wanted. They haven't loosened since, and I'm actually glad the factory didn't put loctite on anything because it made it much easier to disassemble the knives. But anyone who buys this knife will want to make sure to have a T6 bit handy to tighten the pivots (loctite optional but recommended). If you don't, you can pick up a cheap T6 at almost any hardware store for <$2, or a really good one online for <$10.

This Balisong is super fast and super sharp. It's well made and is very comfortable in the hand.

I couldn't wait to finally own this knife. The size and blade shape was right up my ally. Unfortunately upon receiving it I had issues right out of the box. The pivot screws would not stay tightened in the slightest bit, making the handles extremely wobbly and the locking latch unusable. However, BladeOps quickly issued a replacement and I had an exchange in no time. This time, just in case, I did put a little loctite on both pivot screws and after hours and hours of play I have had no issues whatsoever. This blade is definitely still a homerun for me, and the customer service at BladeOps is top notch as always.
