Roughly translated from the South African Zulu language to mean "boss" or "head of family," the Umnumzaan by Chris Reeve was developed from a 20-year heritage based upon the iconic Sebenza folder knife. Offered in 2 unique blade styles, this model showcases an advanced interface of the Integral Lock® which houses a ceramic ball that creates the interface between the blade locking surface and the integral locking arm surface. Furthermore, the same ball doubles to drop into a detent on the blade to ensure the blade does not accidentally open. The dual thumb lug design doubles as the stop pin which ensures a solid lockup and the polyurethane o-rings, designed by Grant and Gavin Hawk, help cushion the impact against the handle. This particular model boasts a 6Al4V titanium handle with a deep crosshatching design, an over-sized pivot screw and bronze washers which reduce friction, incorporated paracord lanyard, and a drop point style blade in a stonewash finish.
The titanium pocket clip is statically designed for tip up carry only on the traditional side of the handle.
