The AUX is one of many new models released by CRKT this year and is offered in 2 different functionalities as well 2 distinct blade configurations. Designed by American knifemaker Lucas Burnley, this folder version of the AUX was modeled after the fixed blade version with the vision of being an "AUXiliary" to the users' primary EDC of choice. Burnley, who was the mastermind behind the popular CRKT Obake fixed blade, adds another notch to his belt of impressive designs with a classic folder that boasts a honeycomb textured handle as well as a blade, complete with CRKT's patented Triple Point serrations, that is fluidly deployed with a thumb disk. From the beginning, CRKT has been driven by a single purpose: to bring useful technological advancements and entirely new product concepts to today's market. This model, the 1221K, features a black GRN (Glass Reinforced Nylon) handle, all-black stainless steel liners and hardware, a partly serrated spear point style blade in a black finish and the pocket clip is statically designed for tip up carry only on the traditional side of the handle.
