ESEE Knives make a series known as the 3, 4, 5, and 6. These knives all have a similar style and purpose. Their goal in existence is to survive. The ESEE 5 is a surviving machine. That is almost all that can be said about it, because that it what defines its very being. With its five and a quarter inch long skandi grind blade, which has a maximum spine thickness of a quarter inch, this knife is tough. The blade on the ESEE 5 is crafted from 1095 steel and with a 57 Rc. rating it is hard enough to cut well but easy to sharpen in the field. The Canvas Micarta handle has a Bow Drill Divot for fire starting. As I said this knifes goal is survival and it couldn't hurt to have it on your side.
