The Les George designed Boilermaker was inspired by the skilled metalwork and craftsmanship of the boilermaker profession. Aesthetically, the criss-cross pattern is reminiscent of supporting beams on a bridge but more importantly helps reduce the overall weight while the low-profile location of the Kershaw logo is just like a signature on an artist' painting--present but not distracting for the canvas. Additionally, each Boilermaker sports Kershaw's patented SpeedSafe® mechanism which helps deploy the blade quickly and lock it into place with plenty of authority. This model features semi-skeletonized stainless steel handles in a browned stonewash finish, dubbed BrownWash™ finish, a modified drop point style blade in a matching BrownWash™ finish and the deep carry pocket is statically designed for tip up carry only on the traditional side of the handle.
