Far and away the best OTF automatic knife in this price range, the Lightning OTF stands tall among its peers. The Lightning has fast, extremely fast, solid action. The blade has essentially no wiggle once it is open and locked up. Many of the lower priced OTF knives seem to struggle with quality. They fail to lock up every once in a while or the spring feels weak. Not so with the Lightning. Be careful to only purchase one of the Lightning models made in Taiwan. There is a copy made in China that is such absolute garbage that we refuse to even carry it. At under $50.00, we think the Lightning out the front knife is probably the best off brand name OTF on the market today. Get one and find out for yourself.
