The Rescue 3 takes the time-tested Rescue design and upgrades it with enhances features including an ergonomically enhanced handle for superior power. As the name implies, this knife is a favorite amongst rescue personnel and first responders because of the blade style which prevents accidental puncturing. Each model comes standard with Spyderco's patented Bi-Directional Texturing which provides plenty of gripping power and a high-strength back lock mechanism--a locking system positioned on the back of the handle that uses a rocker arm that pivots in the center. This model features a black FRN (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon) handle, stainless steel liners, a fully serrated (SpyderEdge) sheepsfoot style blade in a satin finish, Spyderco's trademark round hole opening feature and an ambidextrous 4-way positional pocket clip which allows for a tip up or tip down carry option on either side of the handle.
