The Spyderco Caspian Salt, Part Serrated fixed blade is one of the top underwater fixed blade knives available. Average water knives are all around but finding one that doesn't rust and stays sharp makes a top notch water knife. This knife is a solid piece of non-rusting H-1 steel and is nitrogen based instead of carbon based. This makes it so it doesn't rust because the nitrogen doesn't interact with the chloride in the water like carbon does. This knife comes with cutouts to lessen the weight of the knife and a round cutout hole to fit a bare or gloved index finger through like a ring. It makes it so it is nearly impossible to drop underwater unless you open your hand. It also frees your fingertips and thumb to do other things. The handle is overlaid with fiberglass reinforced nylon and gives it amazing grip (very important in cold or moving water). It also has two lanyard holse for additional retrieval-cord positioning. The Combination Edged blade has a line cutter set on the top of the blade and a pointed tip. It also comes standard with an ambidextrous injection molded fiberglass reinforced nylon (FRN) sheath with nylon straps.
