The Spyderco Civilian Knife was developed in the 1990's when a specialized branch of US law enforcement approached Spyderco about making knives for their undercover agents. The Civilian has a unique, patented revers "S" blade shape that is intended to be used as an oversized claw-the perfect shape for those who may not have formal self-defense training but could use a knife as a last resort to protect or get themselves out of a life threatening situation. The tip is ground ultra-thin. The VG10 hollow ground blade is perfect for slicing and is built with the SpyderEdge. This is not a knife intended for everyday use. The G-10 handle is black and has a tip down carry mount for the custom curved black tip so the knife rides deep in the pocket. Comes in a zippered leather pouch with the Spyderco logo on it.
