The Spyderco Orange Rescue 79MM manual folder knife is designed for those who encounter emergency situations. This knife is the smaller version of the 93mm Rescue knife desgined for people that need a smaller profile knife. Specifically made for those who Save and Serve, this handy knife is designed to be readily accessible and to safely cut near people in high intensity situations. Spyderco's Rescue knives already have a reputation among rescue workers, EMT's, ranchers and anyone that may encounter an emergency. The blade on the Rescue 93mm is a sheepfoot style blade with a flat saber-grind. The sheepfoot shape on this VG-10 stainless steel blade makes it much safer for cutting near flesh while reducing the chances of actually cutting the person. The Spyderco Trademarked Round hole is larger on this knife, a full 14mm, that gives the knife an enlarged hump. The hump improves your ability to manipulate the blade and it also lessens fatigue when you have some long term cutting or repetitive cutting to do. The blade also features spine texturing as well as a deep choil to improve the grip on the knife. The full Spyderedge blade gives you maximum cutting power for getting through straps, ropes, or whatever else might be in your way. This is a fantastic Rescue knife, one of the best we have ever found.
