Spyderco Para Military 2 Emerson Opener, Satin PlainEdge [Exclusive]

It's the Para 2 but the Emerson Wave makes all the difference. Now when I pull the knife out of my pocket, it's already deployed and ready to go. Fantastic!

I always wanted emerson or spyderco to do this because I know spyderco quality and their compression lock is one of my favorite locks. No springs and no liners that are in the way. One hand closing and opening not to mention the pock deploy feature now you can one hand close it and for my work in construction to be able to deploy out the pocket with one hand so some cuts and one hand close is honestly very vital to get the job done and fast. I have 2 emersons and maybe the ones I got just had issues but for 200 I dont want to take a chance to see if the quality will be good or not. Spyderco is very consistent with their quality and its known. I liked the pm2 but I couldn't do the flat grind and weak tip for my work and held off until now the saber grind is perfect and razor sharp. And just to show the consistency in quality I got a socom elite from (another store) and everything was top notch except the blade had a chip... Non of the spyderco ever had this. Emersons detent and locks are just to outdated for the price he is asking. This one is 45-50 CHEAPER TOO. With s30v steal I mean it's a no brainier for me and got 2. Hopefully they make different variations of this cause I will definitely purchase. But these are beautiful strong work horses and that thick blade will last forever.

BLUF: It's a PM2; with a blade that's .5oz heavier. Still carries like a PM2 (which I like). In my experience, the blade shape is slightly less functional in EDC, but the stock thickness is the same, and the extra weight makes the action EXTREMELY satisfying. Construction of the unit I received is PM2-perfect; no play, dead center, firm detent, keenly sharp, SLICK lock. Yeah, all the hardware is loctited, but it's the best PM2 action I've ever played with; loopover clip is the only mod I'll be doing to this one. This is a PM2 with the knobs tweaked slightly toward hard-use "serious" purposes, and based on the experience with the unit I received, a knife I highly recommend.
