The Spyderco Tropen is a newly released model that was deigned by Agrentinian knifemaker Javier Vogt who showcases his unique designs and flavorful taste from tip to base. The unique blade shape provides 3 very distinct ways to open the blade--the first being the patented Spyderco thumb hole while the other option is the Emerson Wave opening feature which allows you to fully open the blade by catching the "hook" on a pocket as you draw the knife out. Finally the third, and the most convenient, is the protruding spine flipper tab. Each model features a premium stainless steel blade that is supported by Spyderco's patented Compression Lock™ mechanism--allowing users to safely close the blade with one hand without ever having the operating hand come near the cutting edge. This model features black polished G-10 handle scales, stainless steel liners, a modified drop point style blade in a satin finish and the pocket clip is statically designed for tip up carry only on the traditional side of the handle.
