Bear & Son Cutlery prides itself on providing excellent quality and real value to all of its customers and their butterfly knives are certainly no exception. The skelentonized nature of the handles help reduce the overall weight and the pin construction eliminates the need for adjusting which makes this an ideal entry-level model. This larger model, the 114AB, features zinc handles that are epoxy powder coated in a black finish, a bead blast finished "armor piercing" tanto style blade and this model does not have a pocket clip. Made in the USA.

Bear & Sons make great butterfly knives. The vast majority of their butterfly knives, and this one is no exception, are built with pin construction. This means they aren't adjustable. They come out of the box fairly smooth and loose. The speed and action are great for me. This particular butterfly knife, the BC114AB has an epoxy powder coat on the light and durable handles. They are black--which I think is a great look. The hollow ground blade is high carbon stainless steel for durability and strength. The tanto point blade has a unique look which is designed to impress. This is a great, mid-level priced butterfly knife.
