Fenix LD10 Flashlight

Posted by admin on Oct 27th 2010

Here at BladeOps.com we focus most of our time and energy on knives.  But every once in a while we come across another product that we really like.  You may have noticed in the past few months, we have begun to stock a few self defense products as well as some basic flashlights.  One of the all time best flashlights that we have come across is the Fenix LD10.  This small tactical flashlight is just four inches long.  The LD10 has six output patterns with the brightest being a whopping 132 Lumens.  On the opposite end of the spectrum, you can squeeze 34 hours of survival use (9 lumens) at the lowest setting.  The other great thing about the LD10 is that it is built from aluminum and has a Type III hard anodized finish.  All this, and it is waterproof to IPX-8 standards.  If you didn’t know,  an IP rating is part of a classification system that utilizes the letters “IP” (“Ingress Protection”) followed by two or three digits. (A third digit is sometimes used. An “x” is used for one of the digits if there is only one class of protection; i.e. IPX4 which addresses moisture resistance only.)IPX8 protected against submersion 1m+.  What this means is that this little flashlight can even handle some serious weather.  If you are looking for a great flashlight for outdoors, for your survival kit, or for tactical use, the LD10 by Fenix is definitely one to look at.
