Kershaw makes some great knives. With the Speed Safe Spring Assist system, their spring assisted knives open fast and smooth with just a flip of a flipper or a slight push on a thumb stud. The Kershaw Chive, part of the Onion family of knives from Kershaw, is the smallest of the bunch which makes it an excellent every day carry knife. At just 3 13/16″ overall length and under 2 ounces, this little spring assist knife is great for pockets. What I especially like about Kershaw knives is their surprisingly tough nature. You can really go to town with one of the Chive knives and they are nearly indestructible. If you haven’t tried a Kershaw Chive–or for that matter any one of the Ken Onion designed knives–give them a try and let me know what you think.
