ProTech Runt 5400 Auto Knife

ProTech makes some amazing automatic knives.  The Runt Series has been one of their most popular lines of knives for quite some time.  These California Legal auto knives (under 2″ blade) have lightning fast action, tight lock up, and are not your everyday type of auto knife.  Made under exacting standards of quality, each one of these knives is of custom quality.  Although the knives are produced in a small shop, each individual knife is put together individually and checked and double checked for quality and durability.
The J4 series of Runts, the fourth series in the Runt line of knives, is possibly my personal favorite of the four.  I would take any single one of the series in an instant–they are that good–but I especially like the J4 series.  Just recently released, the PT5400, is a J4 knife with a tanto blade.  The blade is 154 CM stainless steel with a stonewash finish.  The handle is built of 6061 T6 aluminum with a stainless steel grey finish and is accented quite nicely with carbon fiber inlays on both sides of the handle.  This knife has a generous full sized pocket clip.  If you have been looking for a great carry knife, a new addition to your collection, or a gift for a good friend–you can’t go wrong with a ProTech knife.  I would especially recommend looking at the Runt series.  Great knives made by a fantastic company.
