The Boker Quattro, designed by Fred Perrin, is a totally unique folding knife with a simple yet effective design. Fred Perrin is a former member of the French Special Forces and designs reliable, rugged knives based on the philosophy that a knife should be comfortable to carry and extremely safe in any situation no matter the stakes. The Quattro is no different. The blade is housed in a slim, elongated square frame that slips easily into a shirt pocket. By pivoting the handle out one side by 180° and pulling the opposite side of the handle down in the other direction, you are left with a handy little blade that comes in at just over 2". Despite appearances, the handle is comfortable to hold while using the blade, and the 45° angle the blade sits at ensures that the pressure that comes from your hand while cutting keeps the handle closed and the blade secure. This clever little design means that accidental opening or closing would be simply impossible.
