The Boker Kalashnikov automatic knife is one of the most popular side open automatics on the market today considering the price point. This knife, as well as the rest of the Kalashnikov auto family, is referred to an auto-conversion knife which means the knife is produced as a folder knife and then converted via third party to offer the automatic function. The Kalashnikov features an aluminum handle scale with integrated finger grooves for a comfortable ergonomic experience and our exclusive model now features CPM-S30V blade material for unprecedented edge retention and strength. This particular exclusive to BladeOps model features a black handle with standard hardware and a drop point blade in a satin finish. Finally, the deep carry pocket clip is designed for tip up carry only.

*Please note that the seals on the box will arrive broken due to the knife being converted

Why S30V?

"CPM S30V is a martensitic (hardened) powder-made (sintered) wear and corrosion resistant stainless steel developed by Dick Barber of Crucible Industries in collaboration with knifemaker Chris Reeve. Its chemistry promotes the formation and even distribution of vanadium carbides which are harder and more effective at cutting than chromium carbides. These vanadium carbides give the steel a very refined grain, further improving the sharpness and toughness. . . . Its composition is as follows: Carbon 1.45%, Chromium 14.00%, Vanadium 4.00%, Molebdenum 2.00%"

Great knife with the S30V blade. Nice and snappy opening. Deep pocket clip makes the knife disappear in your pocket. S30V blade steel is great, although you will probably sharpen it when you get it, as, out of the box, the blade's sharpness is not great. But once sharpened, it holds a great edge. After using it for a few months, the finish on the aluminum scales tends to show a little wear. Also would like to see a black or stonewashed blade, but that's just personal preference. Really nice knife with good steel for the price. It's and EDC for sure.

I was already looking for a 70th anniversary version and coming up empty, but was pleasantly surprised to find yours in s30v. Same amazing deployment, same toughness of build, but in premium steel. I couldn't rate it any better!

I think I've found my knife. Great handle for big hands like mine. Love the release button below level of knife blade. Kinds slow opening but it's the knife I will be carrying.

I just got it in but the auto button works fine. It stays in place when activated. I was a little concerned since it didn't have a safety lock for the auto button but it hasn't opened in my pocket yet. It wasn't very sharp but didn't take much to get a decent edge in it.
