Description
The Boker Kalashnikov automatic knife is one of the most popular side open automatics on the market today considering the price point. This knife, as well as the rest of the Kalashnikov auto family, is referred to an auto-conversion knife which means the knife is produced as a folder knife and then converted via third party to offer the automatic function. The Kalashnikov features an aluminum handle scale with integrated finger grooves for a comfortable ergonomic experience and our exclusive model now features CPM-S30V blade material for unprecedented edge retention and strength. This particular exclusive to BladeOps model features a black handle with standard hardware and a drop point blade in a satin finish. Finally, the deep carry pocket clip is designed for tip up carry only.

*Please note that the seals on the box will arrive broken due to the knife being converted

Why S30V?

"CPM S30V is a martensitic (hardened) powder-made (sintered) wear and corrosion resistant stainless steel developed by Dick Barber of Crucible Industries in collaboration with knifemaker Chris Reeve. Its chemistry promotes the formation and even distribution of vanadium carbides which are harder and more effective at cutting than chromium carbides. These vanadium carbides give the steel a very refined grain, further improving the sharpness and toughness. . . . Its composition is as follows: Carbon 1.45%, Chromium 14.00%, Vanadium 4.00%, Molebdenum 2.00%"

Aluminum handle surprised me with a good grip. S30v is worth the extra dollars for operating in high moisture areas like south Florida. Good lock up, fast deployment and a very light knife for carrying in any clothes. Is it a workhouse like the Gerber 06 auto....of course not but it is not meant to be. I expect alot of work and good things from this knife. Blade ops has good price and a timely and free delivery system in place.

I put a review on here but I guess it didnt make it. Anyways I just got this knife yesterday and took it to work today to see how it would perform. It is not the sharpest knife I have but today while I was cutting up some boxes I accidentally jabbed the tip of the blade into a stainless steel table and needless to say I didnt even want to look but much to my surprise it left a small slit on the table and absolutely no damage to the blade. That s30v makes a huge difference. I'm very pleased with this knife

My first Kalashnikov is white and has a black aus 8 dagger blade and snaps hard when deployed. This knife also snaps hard but not as hard. Also it came only semi sharp and makes springy noises when you push the button to close it. All in all it's an awsome knife but if you're gonna pay 30 bucks more for just the blade steel I think it should be shave sharp when it arrives
