Named after the Norse god of prosperity, the Freyr is a tactical axe that was designed by North Carolina native Elmer Roush. As a saluted military veteran, Roush's specialty is crowned with historical replicas of everything from hatchets, axes and froes. Each model showcases classic Viking styling and appropriate weight to balance ratios that allows it to remain effective just as it did centuries ago. From the beginning, CRKT has been driven by a single purpose: to bring useful technological advancements and entirely new product concepts to today's market. This model, the 2746, features a dark Tennessee hickory wood handle, an axe head in a tumbled black finish and offers an aftermarked leather sheath but is sold separately.
