The DON is Pro-Tech's newest automatic knife. The design and workmanship are amazing. It seems to me, that a whole lot of work has gone into the details on this knife. Like most of their auto knives, The DON has a T6-6061 handle frame that is black. The handle inlay on this model is a nice tan micarta. The blade is made of 154-CM stainless steel and has integral "Wing Guards" on it. The wings are cool. When you pop this knife open, the blade has two small wings that extend out on either side--similar in look and feel to the way an old sword or fighting knife had wings that stuck out to keep your hand on the handle and away from the blade. This is a beautiful work of high quality craftmanship. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an upper level automatic knife. Pro-Tech's plan with this new line is to make a few of each color variation each year. Each color or handle variation will be fairly limited. Get yours while they are around!
