The upgrades on this second generation Smith & Wesson Out the front knife are well worth checking out. The handle has been reshaped to a much more ergonomic shape. With the slight "waves" down each side of the handle, it is much easier to grip and much more comfortable to hold. The blade comes out nice and fast, just like the first generation of these unique OTF knives. The trigger has the blade release set on top of it instead of on the side. This is a nice change. Previously, to close the blade, you would reach around the trigger button and push the release to one side. Now, with the release set at the top of the trigger, you just press down on it and the button frees up to be closed. This is much more intuitive and makes a ton of sense. The trigger, like on the first generation, is set low on the handle. You just give it a little push with a finger and the spring assist part kicks in and springs the blade open. The blade locks up very tight. This is a great OTF spring assisted knife.
