Smith & Wesson made one huge improvement with this spring assisted knife series (the 5's) over the 4 series of M&P MAGIC knives--they got the safety perfect. right. The 5 series of Military & Police knives has a curved slide safety--it is great. This big and beefy spring knife is great for any outdoors or tactical situation. Very well done.
