The SOG Arcitech Carbon Fiber with a Damascus Blade, model A03, is a continuation of the SOG Platinum line of high end collectible knives. To created this truly unique masterpiece, SOG took the Arcitech and then added a stunning Japanese Damascus blade that uses a core of VG-10 and 15 layers of nickel and stainless steel on either side. The steel is then forged and folded over and over to create this striking Damascus pattern. Finally, the blade is acid etched to bring the pattern out clearly. The blade opens smooth as can be; a direct result of the Arc-Lock system. You swing the blade open using the thumb stud. The bolsters on the Arcitech are titanium and they ofset the carbon fiber handle in a rare combination that provides quality materials with a sophisticated look.
