OK. Being new to knife-craft, I'm on the learning curve to do a competent "flick-out" and one-handed return of the blade. But I'm getting there. This knife is really well designed. Its handle is outstanding: light but 'grippy' and solid - feels great in the hand. And the blade itself? I got the version with the CPM Spy27 steel, and it is amazing. Sharp, sharper, sharpest (ask me how I know). Time will tell on edge retention, but at all reports it should be exceptionally good. Also love the jimping and choil execution on the blade, allowing one to 'choke up' on the grip when bearing down in a cut - without fear of the thumb or index finger slipping and being cut. I really wanted the SPY27 blade, but hesitated at the "cobalt blue" handle, which at the time I ordered appeared to be the only choice with this steel. I needn't have been concerned: it's a dark blue with a very "classy" appearance. The knife feels great in the pocket - an outstanding EDC keeper! The only small nit I could come up with would be the pocket clip. The shape / configuration is fine, but the bright metallic appearance makes it readily apparent that you are carrying. Would have preferred a dull / matte finish. All in all, a great knife!

Spyderco quality as usual. Ergos and the compession lock are what separate spyderco from the others!

My first Spyderco and am thoroughly impressed. Trying to decide what I like better this or my Benchmade 940-2. Good problems to have.
