The Spyderco ARK or "Always Ready Knife" is a purpose designed knife from US Army Combat veteran John Shirley and his friend Sam Ownes. While in Afghanistan, Shirley learned that an alarming number of army personnel were falling victim to sexual assault, particularly in the showers. The ARK gives you the tool to defend yourself. The ARK is a lightweight self-defense tool that can be carried anywhere you go. The deeply curved clip point blade is ground from H-1 steel. Completely immune to rust, the H-1 blade delivers serious cutting power at the tip of its very sharp point. The FRN handle is molded right onto the tang and boasts Spyderco's proved Bi-Directional Texturing pattern and an index finger groove to guarantee a secure grip even with wet hands. Comes with an injection molded neck sheath and breakaway ball chain. Even with the sheath, the knife weighs only 2.0 ounces--so you will hardly notice it until you need it.
