The Sprint Run Spyderco Meerkat folder knife is one of many new folders released by Spyderco in 2019. This knife's compact and future-forward design highlights a 2" full flat ground blade and utilizes Spyderco's Phantom Lock mechanism--a mechanism housed discreetly inside the handle and is disengaged by pivoting the handle scales in opposite directions. This knife is part of Spyderco's exclusive Sprint Run family which offers limited-edition production runs of knives not found in their normal production models. These knives are highly sought after because once they run out, they will never be made again in the same variation. More specifically, this model is 1 of 7 that will feature the extremely exotic V-Toku2 tool steel that is sandwiched in between layers of SUS410 stainless steel--further adding to its value and increased exclusivity. This model features a blueish grey FRN (Fiberglass-Reinforced Nylon) handle, a drop point style blade in a satin finish and the reversible pocket clip is designed for tip down carry only but is eligible for a left or right hand carry option.
