Crash axes were originally developed for emergency use to escape downed aircraft and the axe head can immediately tell you why. With 4 different bevels, the 3/8" thick axe head can chop at virtually any angle which is why SWAT as well as Fire and Rescue utilize this mammoth-of-a-tool for their needs. Instead of a traditionally mounted stainless steel handle, they use chrome moly alloy which is lighter while still showcasing strength, toughness and ductility. This model features a black alloy handle with "eezer foam" wrap, an ax head in a black traction coating and the black ballistic nylon sheath boasts a belt loop. Made in the USA.
